An innocent soul, kept chained and struck in the head with an axe, in a locality near Galați. A cruelty hard to imagine, but fortunately, it did not go unpunished. The person responsible was detained for 24 hours and later placed under judicial control.

Toporaș was saved thanks to the Animal Protection Police officers, who intervened in the middle of the night and gave him a chance at life, bringing him safely into the shelter.

What followed were difficult days… hospitalization, treatment, pain. But also strength. A lot of strength. And today, Toporaș is on the road to recovery. He is alive. He feels. He is learning again what it means to be loved.
