Isalie
4 years old, female ♀
Not all dogs are fortunate enough to receive proper care. Isalia wasn’t born into a loving environment or with kind individuals, which left her quite fearful of people. Despite our attempts to earn her trust, she remains apprehensive around everyone.
The most fearful dogs are often those that are unadaptable.
Several dogs are huddled in a corner of the kennel, concealed behind the bars. They have experienced abuse and disappointment. Although we've tried to gain their trust, we haven't succeeded in showing them that not everyone is harmful. These dogs need long-term rehabilitation and compassionate care. Please consider sponsoring them!

Some friendships are simply meant to be. ❤️
Mr. Chubbs and Harald are best friends... and their story is one we'll never forget. Harald has spent 14 years in our shelter. For 8 of those years, he lived completely alone. He was once happy, sharing his kennel with his two siblings. But one by one, they were adopted, leaving Harald behind. We tried many times to find him a new companion, but every dog we introduced bullied him—even during playtime. Harald became withdrawn, anxious, and incredibly lonely. Mr. Chubbs had a similar fate. After all the dogs in his kennel found families, he was the one left behind. So one day, we decided to introduce these two lonely souls. What happened next melted our hearts. They became inseparable. Harald started smiling again. He began enjoying life, playing, and feeling safe—all thanks to his best friend, Mr. Chubbs, who gives him the love, comfort, and confidence he had been missing for so many years. Now, whenever Harald is in the playground, no one dares to bully him. Mr. Chubbs is always by his side, quietly watching over his best friend. Will they ever find a home? The truth is, their chances are very small. They are both long-term shelter dogs, often overlooked. But knowing they have each other brings us comfort. After so many years of loneliness, they finally found the one thing they needed most: a true friend. Every kennel at Sava's Safe Haven holds a story like this—stories of love, loss, hope, and resilience.
